Holiday Distractions Hot/Cold Processed Soap Bar

This soap did NOT go according to plan. I started with a green spirulina base and colorful confetti made with annatto (red), lemon powder (yellow), and cobalt blue (blue) originally meant to look like Christmas lights. 🎄 

Then I changed my mind. I grated the confetti into the green batter to make colorful streamers… and they completely blended into the green. 

So, Plan C: hot process soap then immediately switched back to cold process so rustic finish + lots of trimming.

Honestly, doesn’t that sound like a holiday gathering? Plans change, distractions happen, and somehow you still end up with something special. 

And that’s how Holiday Distractions was born.
